please report your results to the IHSGCA either by
using the link below or emailing your results as a
Microsoft Word attachment to
bbrothers@canterburyschool.org. These results help
coaches with the accuracy of individual and team all
state consideration.

IHSGCA Fall Coaches Clinic
Thanks to all that attended the IHSGCA Fall Clinic
on Friday. We appreciate your thoughts, input, and suggestions. In the
next week or two please look for information about a survey we are
asking that every coach in the state fill out. Also, we have made
revisions to our by-laws. These have not been revised since 1989 and
are outdated. Please look for these revisions and read them over and
let us know your thoughts.
A huge thanks to our guest speakers on Friday. Chip Essig (PGA Master
Professional with Essig Golf Management, Past President of the Indiana
PGA, member of the National PGA rules committee) spoke on the
rules. Ben Weaver (Director of Golf Operations, Butler University, PGA
Professional at Prestwick Country Club) and Bill Mattingly (Butler
University Head Men's and Women's Golf Coach) spoke on a variety of
topics. Due to the weather, Jeff Overton was unable to give a clinic
on the driving range, but did discuss his experiences and answer
questions. Thanks so much to all that gave their time. We appreciated
it.

at the March ICGSA

Boys' State Rankings:
Steve Simmons of Zionsville High School will be
taking over for Ben Barkey. Thanks to Ben and all
his hard work the past few years. If you have an
interest in helping Steve out, please email him at
ssimmons@zcs.k12.in.us.
Girls' State Rankings:
If a coach has questions about the top 20 poll, email Dave Patz at
dave.patz@wayne.k12.in.us. He is trying to expand from 15 coaches to 30
coaches next year. Also, the poll is released every two weeks.

all-state and academic all-state, you must be a current member of
the IHSGCA. The forms for both awards can be found by clicking the
"Forms" link on the left of this page. If you have any questions,
please call or email the coaches listed on the forms.
